CWL bases are optimized for the multi-night, multi-attack structure of Clan War League. Regular war bases need to hold against the single best attacker in the opposing clan. CWL bases must hold across multiple nights of attacks, which means they need unconventional geometry that cannot be easily countered after one replay study. The best CWL bases use unexpected Town Hall placement and asymmetric compartments that prevent reuse of a successful attack strategy from night one.

Three-star prevention in CWL at TH9 comes down to forcing timing failures. If your base makes the attacker spend 90 seconds reaching the Town Hall, they have only 30 seconds to close the final star — and if traps and remaining defenses slow them further, the clock runs out before the 3-star is secured.
